What qualifications do your counsellors hold?

Converge employs a multi-disciplinary team, with clinical and non-clinical psychologists, clinical and non-clinical social workers, specialist counsellors, mental health specialists, career coaches, certified mediators, nutrition coaches and financial coaches. This means your employees will have access to a diverse range of professionals who can meet their needs.

The appointment of both employees and clinical contractors at Converge involves a set of stringent criteria to ensure that clinicians are professionally qualified, experienced and registered. We ensure that their skills and experience comply with Australian Industry Standards and the Employee Assistance Professional Association of Australia (EAPAA)’s Code of Ethics.

The selection criteria includes an interview with mandatory questions to confirm qualifications, skills and experience, and assessing the ability to provide the stipulated services in an appropriate setting and a responsive manner. The candidate must provide Converge with a copy of their valid professional registration/ membership, current police check and working with children’s check, copies of their qualifications and resume.
Converge requires all its professional personnel, regardless of background, to adhere to our Code of Conduct, which is based on the requirements of the Psychology Board of Australia and the EAPAA.

The Converge team includes:

  • Over 1900 registered psychologists, social workers, and specialist counsellors. All clinicians are registered with their relevant membership bodies (see below) and possess a minimum of three years of relevant experience across a wide range of specialised services.
  • Organisational psychologists and management coaches experienced in the coaching and support of supervisors and managers under the specific Manager Assist EAP service.

Utilising a multi-disciplinary team provides access to more resources and allows for better response times, timely assistance, and optimum service delivery to meet the needs of our customers.
