What policies and processes do you have in place to ensure quality delivery? Do you have any accreditations?

Quality Accreditation

Converge has been assessed and certified as meeting the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 for the provision of consulting in human resources and psychological services.

Our entire operation is guided and managed by the policies, principles and procedures of this quality management system. Monitoring of the services provided are subject to our Quality System procedures, which include:

  • Documented processes for responding to calls from employees or family members and seeking EAP/CI services performed by our Client Services Intake team
  • Data collection processes, utilising pro-formas and checklists
  • Data entry of referral related information on our in-house computer system
  • File traceability and documentation requirements
  • Communication between the intake officer, assigned consultant, and the Converge Partnership Manager
  • Data collection and data entry by the consultant, including organisational issues and identified risks
  • Internal and external auditing of services.

The Quality framework is managed by the Converge Quality Management and Review Committee (QMRC). The QMRC is the organisation’s key management committee that deals with quality, complaints and risk events. This also includes the development and management of policies to ensure a culture of quality and continual improvement.

In addition to complying with all relevant state and federal legislation, Converge is a level one member of the Employee Assistance Professional Association of Australasia (EAPAA) and as such abides by their code of ethics and the Australian Standards Guidelines. Our Director of Consulting, Lana Schwartz, is the current EAPAA President. Converge is also a member of the Mental Health Council of Australia, a foundation member of Phoenix Australia (formerly Australian Critical Incident Stress Association) and adheres to the Australian Standard for Post Traumatic Mental Health guidelines.

The Converge International Clinical Governance standard is aligned with the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) 2019 guidelines which describes: Clinical Performance and Effectiveness, Effective and Safe Workforce, Client Safety and Quality Improvements and Consumer Participation – underpinned by a culture and leadership style which encourages open disclosure and collaboration.
